This policy explains what information ToolsRuby handles when you use the site, and the choices you have.
Who we are
ToolsRuby (toolsruby.com) is run by MomJunction Private Limited, G-3 (Ground Floor), Modern Profound Tech Park, Whitefields, Kondapur, Hyderabad - 500084, Telangana, India.
The short version
- You don’t need an account to use our tools.
- Our calculators, image tools and PDF tools work in your browser. What you type and the files you choose aren’t sent to our servers.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- Like most websites, we keep technical logs and use analytics, which uses cookies.
What stays on your device
Calculations and file processing happen in your browser. Your image and PDF files aren’t uploaded to us. If a future tool needs our server, its page will say so before you use it.
We also save a few preferences in your browser’s local storage, such as light or dark theme, your preferred units and your last compression settings. These stay on your device and you can clear them in your browser settings.
What our servers receive
- Technical logs. Our hosting and content delivery providers record details of each request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these to run and protect the site, and keep them for 3 months.
- Usage counts. When you use a tool, your browser tells our server that the tool was used. We keep a daily total for each tool, which isn’t linked to you and doesn’t include what you entered.
- Searches. If you submit a search on our site, the words are sent to our server in the page address and may appear in logs.
- Emails. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them to reply.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages and tools are popular. It sends data to Google’s servers, which we don’t own. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. When you use a tool, we also send Google the tool’s name and basic settings, such as the unit or compression level, but not the numbers you enter or the files you choose. The BMI calculator also sends the weight category of your result, such as “Overweight”, but not your height, weight or BMI number. If you press “Was this tool helpful?”, your answer is sent too.

Advertising
We don’t show ads on the site today. If we add them in the future, we’ll update this policy first to explain how they work and the choices you have.
Cookies and your choices
Our own pages don’t set cookies for visitors. Google Analytics is the only service that does, and on your first visit we ask whether to allow it. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off unless you accept. For everyone else, they’re on unless you decline.
If you decline, Google Analytics no longer loads on your device, and we remove its cookies. If you’re in a region where cookies stay off and haven’t chosen yet, Google may receive basic page and tool activity, without cookies, until you do.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Your choice is saved in your browser, so you may be asked again if you clear your browser data. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Staff who log in to our admin area use a login cookie.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell your personal information. Information is only shared as described in this policy: with the providers that help us run the site, such as hosting and content delivery, and with Google for analytics. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Your information may be processed in India and in other countries where we or these providers operate. We use standard measures to protect it, though no website can guarantee complete security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how it’s used. Because you don’t have an account, we usually hold very little that identifies you. To make a request, contact us.
Children
The site is for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
