How to merge PDFs
- Add your files. Tap the upload area or drop two or more PDFs onto it.
- Put them in order. Use the arrows to move a file up or down, or the X to remove it.
- Merge and download. Press Merge PDFs, then download your combined file.
What stays the same
| Part of your PDF | After merging |
|---|---|
| Page content, text and images | Kept, and text stays selectable |
| Page sizes and orientation | Kept for each page |
| Bookmarks | Not kept |
| Fillable form fields | May stop working, so fill them in first |
| Digital signatures | No longer valid |
Is it private?
Yes. Merging happens inside your browser using your device’s own processor. Your PDFs are never sent to our servers, so this works well for documents you’d rather keep to yourself.
Tips for a good result
Name your files in order before adding them, because they’re added in the order your device gives them. If the combined file is too large to send, run it through our Compress PDF tool afterward.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. All merging runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.
How many PDFs can I merge at once?
Up to 30 files, each up to 200 MB. Very large files can be slow on older phones.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
No. Remove the password first using the app you normally open the file with, then add it here.
